报告内容：    Recent advances in high-throughput sequencing technology has led to an increasing body of knowledge on the role of microbiome in human and animals and the environment. The potential of microbiome to be used as a therapeutic agent(s) has created a rapidly growing interest among the agricultural and pharmaceutical industries, academia and government resulting in expansion of microbiome startups. Such interest has also resulted in rapid development of bioinformatic and biostatistical tools, and machine learning techniques for the analyses of microbiome data. In this talk, He will present some of our ongoing research and explain how microbiome therapy can reduce administration of antimicrobial agents in humans, animals and the environment.

Ehsan Khafipour 博士简介

Khafiour副教授是加拿大曼尼托巴大学农业与食品科学院动物系，曼大医学院医学微生物系副教授，同时是加拿大肠道微生物实验室首席科学家。他的实验室拥有先进的测序及微生物研究的相关设备，通过结合生物信息学，生物统计学对人体，动物和环境微生物的组成，功能和变化进行分析研究，试图阐明生态学的重大问题。他和他的研究团队发表了近50篇的SCI收录的文章。
